This study was performed for<br> &nbsp;&nbsp; preparing metabolic antigen and related antiserum of the most important<br> &nbsp;&nbsp; agent of aspergillosis, &ldquo;Aspergillus fumigatus&quot;, for using in serodiagnosing the<br> &nbsp;&nbsp; disease.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The fungus was isolated from the patients, and cultured in glucose<br> &nbsp;&nbsp; peptone broth for 5 weeks. After removing the fungal mass, the secretary<br> &nbsp;&nbsp; (metabolic) antigens was isolated and processed and injected to rabbit.<br> &nbsp;&nbsp; Antisera were evaluated by double- diffusion (DD).</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Prepared antigen was able to immunize rabbits and reacted with rabbit<br> &nbsp;&nbsp; and patient&rsquo;s sera in immunodiffusion.
