Arab M. Age and Number of Children in Tubal Ligation Patients in Hamadan Province (1991 – 1995). Avicenna J Clin Med 2000; 6 (4)

This survey is to show how many women younger than thirty or with more than three children are tubal ligated in hamadan.

All of tubal ligation operations from 1991 – 1995  including 18100 cases were evaluated. Retrospectively age, number of child and living place (city – village) in the time of operation were  reviewed.

Results : 75% of cases were operated in villages and 25% in cities. Mean number of child was 6 (5 in city and 6 in village). 91% of women were younger than three children. Mean age was 34 years. 29% of women were younger than thirty and 5% were younger than twenty five.
