Dictyoptera or cockroaches are one of the important orders of insects that their feeding habits and presence in man habitual cause serious difficulties to him. There are many control methods that chemical method is the most usual of them.

In order to determine cockroaches species in Hamadan during 1370-71 we studied more than 900 speciemens and six species were indentified.

Suseptibility tests carried out with ficam and lindane on two species (Blatta latteralis and B. orrientalis) using W.H.O standard methods. The results showed that at the dose of 0.00125 of ficam both species are susceptible.
