Introduction & Objective: Change in function of general and regional rennin- angiotensin system is the most important factor in cardiovascular disorders and essential hypertension. Recent studies show that general rennin- angiotensin system influence immediate and short term responses and tissue or regional rennin- angiotensin system influence long term process in control of heart and vascular system. This study was designed to know changes in function of regional rennin- angiotensin system results of induction Reno vascular hypertension in gold blat model.

Materials & Methods: In this experimental study 30 rats accidentally set at three groups: test, sham and age control. In test group after anesthesia thiopental (50 mg/kg) and incision of left side Reno vascular hypertension induced by insert clamp in left kidney artery. In sham group after anesthesia and incision of left side, without insert clamp, incision was sutured. In the end of experiments after anesthesia with thiopental (50 mg/kg), blood collection, weight of testis and epididimis, number of sperm was counted in epididimis. Plasma rennin activity was measured by radioimmunoassay method.

Results: Systolic blood pressure in animals of test group after induction of hypertension, was significantly different with animals of sham and age control (p<0.05). Sperm count in epididimis, weight of testis and epididimis, plasma rennin activity were significantly different in test group with sham and age control groups (p<0.05).

Conclusion: Results of this study showed that activity of regional rennin- angiotensin system increased with induction general rennin- angiotensin system activity. Results of this study emphasized to previous studies about existence of classic RAS in male reproductive system.
