fa مقایسه فعالیت ضد باکتریایی روغن اسانسی تیموس و آمپیسیلین در شرایط اینویترو Comparison of Antibacterial Activities of Essential Oils of Thymus x-Porlock and Ampicillin In-Vitro سایر تخصص هاي باليني Other Clinical Specialties پژوهشي Original           بسیاری از گیاهان به علت داشتن روغن فرار نقش بزرگی در دارو سازی ، صنایع غذایی، دارویی، بهداشتی و آرایشی ایفا می نمایند. مطالعات زیادی روی گونه های مختلف گیاهی و تاثیر اسانس یا عصاره های آنها روی میکروارگانیسمها انجام شده است. در این مطالعه تاثیر ضد باکتریایی اسانس تیموس ((Thymus x-porlock  ایران (آویشن) بر روی E.coli و S. aureus به عنوان دو پاتوژن و خاصیت ضد میکروبی آن با آمپیسیلین مقایسه می شود.           اسانس تیموس با روش تقطیر با بخار استخراج و تاثیر ضد میکربی آن با روش دیسک پلیت در رقتهای مختلف و در چهار مرحله متفاوت زمانی مطالعه شد. روغنهای فرار موثر در رقتهای مختلف در برابر سه رقت مختلف سوسپانسیون باکتریال قرار گرفتند تا MBC  و  MIC آنها تعیین گردند.           اسانس تیمــــوس در رقت باکتریسیدال 16/1 هاله توقف رشـــد E . coli را به قطر 17 میلی متر و در رقت باکتریسیدال 8/1 هاله توقف رشد S.aureus  را به قطر 22 میلی متر ایجاد کرد. رقتهای فوق تا دو ماه پس از اسانس گیری کیفیت  ضد میکربی خود را نشان دادند که در غلظتهای بالاتر به مدتهای مدیدی قابل نگهداری و فعالیت هستند. تاثیر ضد میکربی آمپیسیلین  نیز در رقتهای مختلف با همان روشهای فوق بررسی و نتایج مقایسه شدند. آمپیسیلین در رقت باکتریسیدال mg/ml4 با قطـــر 11 میلی متری هاله توقف رشد در خصوص E . coli و در رقت mg/ml6 با قطر 23 میلیمتری در خصوص S.aureus  خاصیت میکرب کشی دارد.           اسانس تیموس قدرت ضد باکتریایی بسیار خوبی داشته ودر  مدت کوتاه  بهترین تاثیر خود را نشان می دهد. Many plants play important role in pharmaceutical, food, medicine and    cosmetic industries for their volatile oils. Numerous studies have been carried    out on various plant species and effect of their essential oils or extracts on    microorganisms. In the present study antibacterial effect of Iranian thyme    on two pathogens of E.coli and S.aureus, is reported for the first time.    Antibacterial property of thyme oil is compared with that of ampicillim.           Essential oil of Thymus x-porlock was extracted by steam distillation and    its antimicrobial effects on E.coli and S. aureus were studied. Disc diffusion    method was conducted to evaluate the zone of microbial growth inhibition.    The antibacterial effect was also studied against three different    concentrations of microbial suspension to find out MIC (Minimal Inhibitory    Concentration) and MBC (Minimal Bactericidal Concentration).The results    were compared with those of ampicillin.           Fresh oil from Thymus x-porlock at 1/16 and 1/8 dilutions inhibited E.coli      and S.aureus growth with 17mm and 22mm microbial growth inhibition    zones respectively.  Ampicillin at 4 mg/ml concentration was bactericidal    against E.coli showing 11mm zone of microbial growth inhibition.
