          Vitiligo is a melanocytic disorder that diagnosed by depigmented skin
   patches and hairs that may appear with neuro-ophthalmo-labyrintic
   involvement . Association with some other autoimmune disorders such as
   diabetes,thyroiditis and gastric parietal  cells antibody has been observed.
   Past researches mentioned that association of vitiligo with diabetes were
   between 1% and 7.1%.The purpose of this study was to determine the
   prevalence  of diabetes and glucose abnormalities in patients with vitiligo in
   Kerman in 1999.

          This is a cross sectional case with control study on 125 vitiliginised
   patients that has been consecutively referred to dermatology clinic.

          Prevalence of diabetes and glucose abnormalities in case group with
   vitiligo has been evaluated with some variables of age, sex, and duration of
   disease but only family history of the disease was significantly positive.

          Diabetes and glucose tolerance abnormality in cases with vitiligo was
   obtained as 8.2%  whish are more than normal cases.
