A survey with a sample of 460 was carried out to determine the weight and height of infants in Hamadan city , Iran.

The results show that the prevalence of the low-birth-weight in 10%. The results indicate that the mean and median of the infant’s weight are 3117 and 3200 gr., respectively . The mean and median of their height are 48.03 and 48 cm, respectively.

Statistical tests confirm that the weight and height of the boys are higher than the girls.
